Ingredients:
- Basmati rice - 200gms
- Ghee or Oil - 3tbsp
- Chicken pieces - 500gms
- Curds - 1and 1/2 cups
- Ginger garlic paste - 1and 1/4 tbsp
- Onions -2 (sliced)
- Tomato puree - 1cups
- Garam Masala - 1and 1/2tsp
- Jeera - 1TSP
- Cloves - 2 to 3
- Peppercorns -2 to 3
- Bay leaf - 2 nos.
- A pinch of saffron mixed Milk - 1/4cup
- Salt to taste
Recipe Directions:
- Mix curds, ginger garlic paste, salt , garam masala with chicken pieces and keep in the refrigerator for 1 hour to marinate.
- take a microwave safe bowl and add oil, put sliced onions, tomato puree and dry masalas and microwave at 100% power for 8 to 10 minutes. Stirring in between.
- Soak the rice for half an hour then add it to the masala. Also add the marinated chicken and water and saffron-milk mix and microwave covered at 90% power for 20 to 25 minutes. Stirring in between.
- Give standing time of 10 minutes, Serve hot with raita and chutney.
